National American University
Ethics in Business
The National American University's Mission Statement says in part—

“As a comprehensive technical and professional institution of higher learning, the university responds to the changing needs of students, employers, and their communities by providing undergraduate and graduate programs and continuing education opportunities to serve an evolving global society.Ó

To fully implement the intent of this mission statement, NAU has developed the CORE Abilities (Communication, Occupational skills, Reason and Ethics) that lay a foundation upon which ensures NAU produces qualified graduates that are ready for the professional world. In response, this evolving NAUÕs Business Ethics Series was developed to address the ethics component of the NAU CORE Abilities”.

In this series, students will explore ethical decision-making as they follow the developments of ÒB2E Marketing and Solutions,Ó a fictional company started by a group of friends and recent college graduates. As ÒB2E Marketing and SolutionsÓ grows, the founders, executives, and employees encounter some tough ethical situations.

The goal of this program is to transform the methods upon which business ethics is taught by infusing strong, ethical principles, and perhaps more important, to produce highly ethical future business leaders who not only know what is right, but how to make it happen.

Attention to ethics in the workplace helps ensure that when leaders and managers are struggling in times of crises and confusion, they retain a strong moral compass.
